Karin Alma (Apel) Stark, 81, of Oaktown, IN passed away Saturday evening January 30, 2010 at The New Willow Manor Nursing Home. She was born June 13, 1928 in Tokyo, Japan and immigrated from Germany with her husband and 3 children to the United States in 1951. She was a homemaker and has lived in Oaktown since 1952.
Survivors include 2 sons, Peter (wife, Cathy) Stark of Oaktown and Juergen (wife, Darlene) Stark of Clarksville, TN, 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Karin was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Wilhelm “Willie” Stark on June 5, 2009, her son Ulrich “Ollie” Stark on April 20, 2009 and a grand daughter, Michelle Renck.
A memorial Gathering will be held from 1:00 till 3:00 p.m. Saturday February 13, 2010 at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home. Friends are invited to visit and share memories of Karin with the family during this time.
