Jeanette Alice (Moore) Purcell, 88, of Vincennes, passed away Friday morning February 12, 2010 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born January 8, 1922 in Petersburg, IN and has lived in Vincennes for most of her life. Jeanette was a loving mother and grandmother and her life centered on her children and grandchildren. She had previously worked for the Executive Inn and the Travel lodge and loved crossword and word search puzzles.

She is survived by a son Steve (wife, Marla) Hart of Chicago, IL and a daughter, Sandy Hart of Vincennes, 3 grandchildren, Christopher (wife, Alice) Hart, Jonathan Thorne and Amiee (husband, Augie) LoSchiavo and Ashley Tanner and 3 great-grandchildren, Mikailha Hart and Sofia and Gianna LoSchiavo. Jeanette was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Paul Hart and Edgar Purcell, a son Joel Hart and a daughter Julie Bannister.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home 505 Main Street with the Rev. Michael Julian officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit and share memories of Jeanette with the family on Sunday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
